Awaking to the strange sound of nothing, I immediately realized what was missing and jumped on the bike for a ride on the first calm day in about a week. There’s not much to report about this Ridge Road/Kleefeld thanksgiving Sabbath ride. The conversation with the mother and kid below was a bit one-sided, although they were attentive. So, we settled on a consensus that we were thankful for good health, gainful employment, a peaceful country, and sweet (not burning) pastures (my heart goes out to the folks in Stuartburn/Vita area).
Oh yeah, we also agreed we would not discuss the semi-truck driver who was READING A BOOK while hauling a ga-zillion kg’s of live hogs and only veered out of my lane about 100 feet from me. No, we’re not talking about that.
