Riding the Trans Canada Trail (oh…and a little of Caddy too…)

Thanks Neil for the fabulous idea to go and do a little off road riding this past Saturday.  Neil, Jac, Val, Lorraine and Pete set off onto the trail at about 8:30 am and we stopped at the top of a hill about 7 km in for a little breather at which time Neil said, “A little different than 7 KM on the road, huh?”  Yup, you could say that!  But what an awesome time!  Great scenery, a whole different kind of riding (and I realize this was pretty easy trail for those of you who do this all the time but it was a good beginner trail for me), yummy breakfast in West Hawk (because it is all about the food for me after all).  We did close to 40 KM by the time we were done (give or take a bit) and topped it off at Lorraine and Rheal’s campsite with some bevies! All I can say is we have to do this again!  I’ve had limited success trying to put some pictures up here, but I’ll keep trying.

  1. Hey, that was a great ride, Val. You should have seen her – she was on my wheel for every climb – couldn’t shake her! Gung ho mountain biker on the way! and the way she put away that omelet at breakfast . . . (get those pictures up, girl!).
