Richer ride had sad note

Saturday, August 28th Richer ride was kinda sad.  Our favourite food stop,  Country Inn, has suddenly closed it’s doors last Sunday August 22nd.

So the MIT group, Curt and myself, stopped in at our old food stop across the road for breakfast.  We heard from others that business had been slow this year and struggled to make ends meet.

Now the decision each time we travel to Richer is, “Where do we stop to eat?”  The smaller place across the road had a good breakfast, but the place was fairly full.  I know other places exist around Richer so we’ll have to explore those places over the next 2 months of riding.

BTW when we where leaving we met up with the Pete’s group riding the 200 km ride, formerly called the Latke 200.

About bigjac

Just a middle-aged man whose blood pressure and cholesterol were out of wack and needed a tuneup, bad. Then I rekindled my love for riding a bike -- just the simple act of turning the cranks. What happened next is I met a lot of neat people who are as nuts as I am. Ride on.

  1. Lagimodiere Restaurant (down the service road about 100 yards west) has all day steak & eggs breakfast (6, 8 or 10 OZ), good service and ample seating for our usual 4 to 8 riders. I was there on Friday morning and it was all good.

  2. Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and all. But imagine if you added some great visuals or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this blog could certainly be one of the very best in its niche. Fantastic blog!
