And Then There Were Three——-

Three riders answered the water tower roll call this morning—Alvin, Merle, and Jim. After a night of ferocious winds and fires throughout the southeast, I was surprised that there were any riders. In spite of a persistent 20-25 kph WSW wind, the ride was excellent, with each of us taking short pulls. We did the Steinbach , New Bothwell, Kleefeld loop and I was pleasantly surprised to see that we’d averaged 30.1 km/h when I got back.
