A December MIT Group Ride

What to do on a beautiful -2C December day?  Well one can always agree to a group ride from LaBroquerie to Richer and back.  It was good to get the call from Merle Saturday night that we would riding Sunday afternoon.

The weather was tolerable with the right clothing and the ride was a welcome relief from the rollers.  It was good to sit down to a cup of coffee and stories.  The stories over breakfast is the thing that I miss most about our summer bike rides.

So thanks Merle, Jim and Shorty for the ride.  One thing it did do was motiviate me more to ride the rollers and trainer more than the 2 times per week.  Got to be ready, one never know’s, we might get in another ride on this exceptional start to winter.  Remember the Sufferfest moto  IWBMATTKYT.

About bigjac

Just a middle-aged man whose blood pressure and cholesterol were out of wack and needed a tuneup, bad. Then I rekindled my love for riding a bike -- just the simple act of turning the cranks. What happened next is I met a lot of neat people who are as nuts as I am. Ride on.

  1. It was great to get outside for a ride, but cold! I really enjoyed riding with you guys, let’s do this again this December!

  2. Roger, that !!!! I’m curious about the Sufferfest motto “IWBMATTKYT”.
This is a wild guess: “I Will Bust My A** Turning The Kranks, Yeah, Torture”.

  3. Thanks, Jac. I got 4 words right: “I’ , “will” , “bust” (synonym of beat) and “ass”.
The motto I’ve always liked is: “TWDNKYMYS”.

“That which does not kill you, makes you stronger”.
